Riaz has been a practicing GP since 2000, drawing on his patient facing experiences to develop a successful portfolio of activities around improving the quality and experience of care patients receive, the resilience and sustainability of primary care providers and the value offered to commissioners.

Riaz has been central to the growth and success of SELDOC Ltd., England’s largest GP co-operative, where he has worked with the board and SMT to transform the organization from a traditional co-operative to a £12M turnover business providing high quality scheduled and unscheduled care across South London centred around patient facing values.

Riaz has provided consultancy to CCG’s for developing At Scale Working, quality improvement, organisational resilience and sustainability, as well as supporting individual surgeries. He has develop and delivers a programme of courses delivered nationally to teach leadership, management and resilience skills to GP’s and practice managers with RedWhale GP Update.

Riaz is able to quickly form relationships with health care professionals and managers and is a skilled group facilitator, underpinning his ability to engage with those delivering healthcare to deliver change.
